Full Moon Festival 2015
There are various stories that people use to explain the origin of Tet Trung Thu. Among them, people say that Vietnamese people celebrate Tet Trung Thu to show the gratefulness to the Moon as the Moon plays a critically important role in the agricultural activities of Vietnamese farmers. Moreover, people also believe that August is the time of the year when the Moon is at its highest performance: brightest and fullest.
During the Tet Trung Thu time, Vietnamese family members usually sit down together, have tea and Moon Cake and enjoy the Moon light. This is also a chance for friends and colleagues to exchange wishes and presents (normally Moon Cake). Particularly, Tet Trung Thu is a Tet of children. Vietnamese parents normally prepare their children with nice clothes, Mid-Autumn lanterns so that the children can celebrate the Moon festival with their friends. Normally, the festival’s activities will be organized at the communities where the families live, at school of the children or the companies where the parents work.

Last September 26, 2015 (14 August 2015 according to Lunar Calendar), ITS Global’s Union has organized the Moon festival activities (foods & drinks, gifting lanterns and Moon Cake, singing & dancing and so on). The event has attracted many ITS Global employees’ children. It was a warm and cheerful night. Before that, the Union also presented Moon Cake to the Union’s members. This is an annual event of ITS Global’s Union which aims to create a community for employee’s families. ITS Global believes that such activities will tighten the relationship among company’s employees as well as between the employees and the company.
