Kodak Alaris will introduce its outstanding Document Imaging technology with the aim to improve the efficiency of digital content management and business processes for organizations and enterprises, as well as share its success stories in Vietnam since its first footstep from 6 years ago.

Perfect Page Technology

While some other scanner vendors use the image enhancement software from 3rd party and some software may be chargeable to users, Kodak develops Perfect Page, the built in technology inclusive of 28 image process with automatic features: image orientation, blank image removal, background color smoothing, dual stream scanning, color drop-out…This makes scanned images always clear, readable and does not slow down the scanning speed with some specific features.

Kodak Alaris is also the only scanner vendor providing bundled solutions, which facilitates the automation of scanning process, data extraction, indexing… in order to help customers save and find their documents electronically. New products 2014: Smarter Scanner

–      Scanners that understand your documents: Catching up the trends of other smarter devices (smart phones, smart TVs…), Kodak introduces KODAK SCANMATE i1150 scanners, KODAK SCANMATE i1180, KODAK i3250 Scanner, KODAK i3450 Scanner having different scanning functions. From that, the users just feed the documents into the machine and just push the button and we do the rest. In addition, the two new models KODAK i3250 and KODAK i3450, which are A3 Scanners, come with integrated A4 flatbed to assist the users in handling all types of documents such as plastic card and bound documents.”

–     Scanners that work quietly and user friendly: Being a desktop device, Kodak’s new scanners such as SCANMATE i1150 and SCANMATE i1180 have an elegant design, comfortably operating functional buttons, the informative display screen and extremely quiet operation. With effort in investment and development of new technology, Kodak created scanners, which are not only “efficient” but also “friendly” when operating smoothly and silently – help front office staffs entirely focus on their customers’ transaction.

The case studies in Vietnam since 2008

Since Jan 2008, Kodak assigned DSG VIETNAM as the authorized distributor and its award-winning scanners together with DSG’s value-added services has brought about a lot of success stories in the digitization and the enhancement of digital content applications in the domestic market:

–     Vietnam Census Project 2009 (General Statistical Office): The project used 11 Production Scanners (speed 130 ppm) and scanned 60 million pages of questionnaire (A4 size) during 7 months, shortening the project time to ½ compared with the previous Census.

–     Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department Project: KODAK Document Scanners and the capture software were equipped at Tax Department and 24Tax Agencies, which helps to digitize a huge amount of tax returns from individuals and organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. The project allowed agencies to convert physical report to statistical information for easier accessibility and reduce storage space.

–     Handling business process: Shortening the turnaround time is the common goal of the organizations having hundreds of branches, millions of customers and thousands of daily transactions like Banks, insurance companies and telecommunications. Up to now, Kodak’s Document Imaging technology already existed in hundreds of banks, insurance companies… This makes transactions with customers more quickly, makes customer information stored more carefully and more scientific… as well as increases the competitive advantage of enterprises.
